Cllr John Cope
John works in education and apprenticeships, advising a wide range of universities, colleges, charities, and edtech firms. He was previously Executive Director at UCAS, co-founder of the Education Policy Institute, and was appointed by Downing Street to the board of the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education, the skills and apprenticeships regulator in England.
In politics, John has been the national chair of LGBT+ Conservatives, an advisor to a range of Ministers, and currently serves as a council group leader. He stood for parliament in 2024.
