Student TRG

Welcome!

Welcome to the Student Tory Reform Group page! We hope it will be a helpful resource for both newcomers and our seasoned members to find out more about what the TRG stands for and its current activities.
In addition to all the usual benefits of membership, we provide you with more opportunities for meeting one another, meeting members of the Party, learning about the principles of 'Progressive Conservatism' and exchanging ideas. We encourage the critical discussion of our ideas and policies and urge members to start thinking up their own. We want our members to form the vanguard of the next generation of Conservatives, to make their views heard, and, in doing so, help make the Tories a formidable party of opposition - and of government.

The Student Tory Reform Group, despite its name, is not just for students. It is a wing of the national pressure group dedicated to representing the attitudes and interests of all our members under the age of twenty-five: people in work as well as school and university. It exists because we believe younger people sometimes want different things from other members.

Politicians like Damian Green, Lord Michael Heseltine and Jonathan Evans are only a few of the prominent advocates of Progressive Conservatism (Disraeli, though around before we were, was our philosophical forebear): our members are in good company!

If you are curious about who we are, what we do or how we think, then please do take the time to have a look around our site.

If you have any questions we haven't answered, then email us at: student@trg.org.uk.
