The TRG recommends the following to TRG members and supporters.

What's Wrong with British Foregin Policy?
by Lord Hurd, Sir Christopher Meyer, Michael Mates, Sir Malcolm Rifkind, John Bercow, Victoria Roberts, Timothy Crockford (Editor)
A TRG Publication

Nick Kent reviewed this first of a series of new TRG pamphlets for the Summer 2007 edition of Reformer. He summarised the pamphlet by saying the authors,

"...assess the state of British foreign policy and make some suggestions for change. Put like that it may sound low-key; it is anything but. The contributions are dominated by a sense that British foreign policy has taken a wayward direction since 1997 and that substantial changes are required."

Edward VI
by Christopher Skidmore

The author, Chris Skidmore, is a member of the TRG's board. He has worked for David Willets MP and is currently working on the Public Services Review under Stephen Dorrell MP.

But Chris is also and skilled and erudite historian and those traits are amply displayed in the first completely new biography of Edward VI for many years.

Politics for Partners
by Alicia Collinson

It is probably fairly safe to say that Alicia knows what she is talking about when she writes of how to live as the partner to a politician. She is sometimes known as Mrs Damian Green MP.

Eve Burt (who also knows something about the subject) reviewed the book for the Summer 2007 edition of Reformer writing,

"Alicia manages to cover every corner of the day to day world of life and living with an MP and includes sensible and sound advice." A must for the other-halves of all aspiring MPs!

Freakanomics
by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner

In his review for Reformer Timothy Barnes was concerned that,

"The title 'Freakonomics' does not suggest a serious book. It would be a shame if intelligent readers were put off by it, assuming instead, that it is the companion to a Channel Five documentary series. In fact, there is a great deal of thought-provoking material in this book. The authors are a highly regarded professor of economics at the University of Chicago, Steven Levitt, and a successful New York Times journalist, Stephen Dubner."
